marrk | Re: sovtech 12ax7LPS I just installed 4 12ax7LPS in my Mesa Studio preamp and they sound very good. I jacked up the gain way higher than I ever would use and they were quiet, even when tapped lightly with a sharpie pen. The code on these is 99 06 in black ink. Compared to some Groove tube Ecc83 (which I really like in the Boogie), they have a little less low midrange, and distort just a little earlier. Thanks for everyone's input! Mark |
