Many amp builders take "liberties" with the Bandmaster OT, generally in the direction of using bigger iron for more headroom/low end. I have yet to see a Fender OT wound for 2.7 ohms, and the mismatch is so minor IMHO anyhow that it would have been silly of Fender to have them made. (again, just MHO, not a "fact" I'll be interested to hear what you find out! Till I hear different (or see different!) the 4-ohm tranny is my story and I'm stickin' to it. I know for sure they did not use the Bassman OT.. (at least I think I know for sure!)
