Sound City/ Hiwatt connection?

chris | Sound City/ Hiwatt connection? I'm starting to drool over the old 50 watt Hiwatts, and I can't help but notice that Sound City amps are pretty much built exactly the same. On the outside anyway. Can't find much about this on the web... Did they buy Hiwatt or something? Or spinoff? Not too familiar with Sound City amps... anyone know how they are? I get the impression they're not the quality workhorses Hiwatts are. |
