That's what I would have guessed; 80w sounds more like a JBL to me and I thought the California title was at least an indirect reference to the Fender surf sound (not that that's any indication of the speaker's tone though). An EV is a massive beast; I just read some little blurb about a 4x12 loaded with EV12L's. Talk about a backbreaker; the thing must way 150lbs or so... MJ
