Fender Bassman "popping sound"

rb | Fender Bassman "popping sound" What causes the slight (background noise level) "popping" sound coming out of my 1964 Fender Bassman? Actually the sound comes out of the 4X10 Marshall cab it is plugged into! The noise isn't very loud, but it is persistent. Bad filter capacitor? Any help appreciated. The amp is untouched from 1964; all original caps, tho' the filter caps don't have the nasty "bulging" typical of 35 year old caps. Thanks! |
