| tubegirl | Excessive Henries. I'm just intrigued as to what the effect on the dynamic response would be of using REALLY large inductance values in a typical guitar tube preamp power supply. I know Hammond for instance make some pretty large values (I think I saw 150H once). For example if one was to replace a 2700 ohm filter resistor in the supply with a 60H choke of the same resistance - would the touch responsiveness/response time of the preamp be lost or slowed down, or does this only apply to excessive capacitative filtering ??? |
