| Trace | Re: Cap across driver tube Some amps have a very high top end that is present but not all the noticeable. The 47pF cap does help to nip that right out but it all depends on what amp it's on. I've found that it's a helpful little bugger in amps that are considered to be "Gain" amps. If you drive the phase inverter really hard without that cap the top-end gets sometimes gets weird (usually when you crank an amp to "10") but again it's more with the gain amps. Trace |
