I'm a little confused on the LCR ground comment, How are they different from the other can types that have the ground attached to the case of the cap? I was thinking of using the dual 100mfd LCR's to replace the 100/40 cans that are on the chassis now. the extra 60mfd shouldn't be a big deal, right? The one 600V cap is 30mfd and the only one at that voltage I've seen is 20mfd, should I double it to 40mfd or just leave it at 20? do you think it will make much difference? Maybe I should stack a pair of lower voltage ones to get closer to the 30mfd? I only agonize over this cause the owners are a bit fussy about stock values, and insist on sprauge caps, etc... The customer is always right... I cleaned this SVT out about 14 months ago when the band first got it and it looked like a vacuum cleaner bag had been dumped inside it. It really was surprising it hadn't shorted out. They're running RCA 6550A's in it and the Bias balanced at 72ma per side. the exterior bias adjust is really a handy feature. I will definatedly heed the HV warnings on this puppy, my wife would be extremely pissed if I fried myself ;-0 as always thanks for ya'lls help! Marc |
