EricH | Re: Regluing Black Tolex, anyone? Steve, Tolex is actually a brand name for a vinyl wallcovering. There is a wallcovering adhesive designed specifically for adhering overlaps with these materials. Go to your local wallcovering store, or pro paint store and ask for "vinyl to vinyl" adhesive (Various brands). This info comes from 15 years of paperhanging experience, not amp-making, but it's another resource. I'm going to be recovering an amp soon and will be trying wallcovering adhesives --we'll see what happens |
