Pushing the PT?

Pushing the PT?
I have a Thoardson 260-0-260 @ 70mADC PT in a

Champ Homebrew.

It idles at 57mA and Disapates 14 Watts into

a single NOS 6V6GT. This is just about perfect, according

to the RCA Manual.

I've converted the octal socket and put a

switch in to change the cathode bias resistor for an

EL34. I'm running the EL34 at 94mA.

But, my question is since the PT is only rated at 70mA, I'm definately over-stressing it at 94mA.

It's been sitting idle at 94mA for about 20 minutes without any (observable) ill effects. The PT is warm to the touch (as normal), but not hot. I have not blown the 1A fuse.

Am I playing with fire??
