I wish there was at least a simple tone control on the unit. Other than that, maybe an EQ would help, either pre or post or both. I know I saw a schematic somewhere on the web. Did you ever see it? If not, I'll try to locate it for you or someone else might have it readily available. Maybe that would give a clue as to where you could change the tone a bit. But, the easiest and fastest might be to swap out the tubes. There are two 12AX7's I believe, haven't opened mine up lately. One more thought, what are you playing it through? Using it for direct recording, feeding an amp or simply connecting it to a speaker? Maybe something else is causing it to sound bright? Terry |
