| Trace | Re: Any tips for cleaning old amp? I like the "De-Oxit" D5, the "Pro Gold" G5, and the "CalLube" MCL that are made by Craig. I also like a product called "Zep 40" for cleaning chassis and the face plates. I got this tip from a place that works on old Mac Amps. It's heavy duty but won't take the silk screened letter and numbers off. I use "Marvel Mystery Oil" (in a red can at Kmart) for any rusted parts. It stops the oxidation and also frees up those little screws in the Fender knobs. Grab a box of Q-Tips and that bottle will last forever! I'm sure all the guys will come up with some great stuff. I'm kind of curious because I could use a few pointers myself. I'm always up for using anything that makes cleaning easier! Suzy homemaker (ha, ha) Trace |
