Not a huge gain monster, but awesome power chord crunch ala Joe Perry/Slash/Old Black Crowes. Has some very cool blues tones in it too. I much prefer it too the ohter 800 models, but that may just be becuase I haven't heard a properly tweaked one. The 900s are complete crap though, and the new 2000's are totally overrated. Boogie wannabes with thin tone and buzzy distortion. My rat pedal sounds better than those things. -Chris
