That's a mighty good point Steve! So far I've been extreamly lucky when it comes to customers being 100% satisfied (cross my fingers and knock on wood--ha, ha) I usually ask them for a cassette of three songs that best represents the tone they are after so I have soemthing to compare it to. I also go to lunch with them before I mod the amp (or talk on the phone for an hour or so if they don't live close by) and this helps be to really understand where they are coming from as a player.

This is all very true. They next one I have to deal with won't as complex (well it is a Peavey :-)  
 
 
 
I also use the littl emagnet trick (nice touch too I might add)
