Steve...true enough!! (ha, ha) I work on the JCM800's and the 70's Marshalls a lot and they both have PCB's bu they are a bit better than the Peavey's. It's mighty funny because there are A LOT of peavey's like the classic 50 around these here parts! (ha, ha) So it's probably good that I get my hands bloody (as they say)

I got a pretty good handle on this beast now but's it;s been a few hours! (ha, ha) It's not that it's complex, it's just silly to have to tear the entire amp apart to replace a pot (I should say to me it seems silly)

You may be right there! :-) I usually don't go crazy billing because it's the first time Iv'e worked on this model so I call it a learning experience and now I'm much more familer with how they work.  
 
 
 
I must say someone who sees the name "Peavey" will be stunned by the tone that comes out!! (ha, ha) It sure doesn't sound like a Peavey now.
