Bryan James | Re:Super Reverb PT okay for 50W? your right i didn't look at how many preamp tubes the supper had just the output section. so i want a head and calculated power requirments of both (no tube rectifer fixed in for current demands). Some one correct me if i'm wrong. it is late so i wouldn't be suprised. Plexi 3 12ax7 and 2 el34 heater demand 3.9A and 243.6ma from the secondary. Super 3 7025 2 12at7 1 12ax7 and 2 6l6 heater demand 3.6A and 237.8ma from the seconday given tolarances you are correct i think it would come down to cost, availablity and personal taste. IMHO i'd go with the hammond 272jx but it looks like you are correct about useing the super PT (unless my math is wrong. Bryan |
