Corwin | ATTN RG- Vox Pacemaker I'm currently deciding between a Vox Berkeley or Pacemaker clone(with higher voltages(around 350V B+) due to the PT I have and using a 5Z4 or 5Y3 recto) and was wondering if the EL84s get enough drive to get full output with a cathodyne PI. Also, how is it's clean headroom with the weird preamp values(270K plate resistor on the 1st stage and 440K plate resistor on the 2nd stage in the Pacemaker)? Thanks in advance. Corwin |
