Grid resistors? you mean bias splitters? Otherwise, that seems like a unique mod to do.

I take it I'm not the only one who wonders if Harry Joice sold his soul to the devil to be able to be that neat ;)

.. and until we can legally run sweatshopps, or quit our day jobs, time IS much more valuable! I like the perf. board look, dont know if it's really an issue, but I think component cooling woudl be bettr here, plus as you say, MUCH easier to feed the wires up thru, and a more universal mounting could be achieved, w/o having to drill a lot of holes, and estra turrets coudl be added for those of us who like to tweak things a bit ;)  
But I think the best thing aout the perf board is... well... it looks damn cool!
