Looks like i will go with the same basic design of the power amp but just put an octal in place of the second el84 and see about increasing the plate voltage on the one for a 6v6. should sound interesting having a clean and distorted tone at the same time. BTW it originally used 7189's wich are a higher grade of el84 right? so that might already have a higher plate voltage to begin with? or is it the other way around
