| pumpstein | Best 1/2-tube fx loop in quasi-5F6-A? OK, I have a single triode to work with, 2 channels which sum together before the PI, and I want to use line and guitar levels, if possible. Options so far: 1) 1-CH SERIES LOOP: grab the signal off the treble wiper on the CF tone stack on ch1 ('59 Bassman channel), feed to the 1M SEND level, wiper goes to jack...RETURN jack feeds 1M vol pot to return boost amp stage, output goes to summing resistors, & on to PI. 2) 2-CH PARALLEL LOOP: after the summing resistors, signal is split between a) straight wire to top of MIX/Return 1M pot, and b) 1M pot feeding buffer CF stage to SEND jack. RETURN jack feeds bottom lug on 1M MIX/MV/RETURN pot, wiper goes to PI. This doesn't support pedal levels well, a I understand it. Obviously there re variations...I'm looking for practical advice for this limited schema. Suggestions? I'd really appreciate any help. - P |
