"So if someone wanted to build the amp everyone else is talking about here (and likes) then I don't want them to goof up and build mine because they may be disappointed."

But who knows really what's going on. Between everybody's building skills, materials--external devices ie. speakers/guitars/EARS we could be and most likely comparing apples and oranges between peoples builds.

Another thing we should remember--we dont' really have a schematic, more of a outline of an origianl Trainwreck Express. Most of the information is 2nd and 3rd generation information/misinformation/educated guesses/blind luck. So hopefully they would come into this with an open mind and leave room for changes as needed.

Another thing, Steve and I put together or own versions of the Express schem from pretty much the same information and notes and came up with 2 different schematics. And I think we still have different opinions of several different aspects of the amplifier in question.

"I'm gald to share the design with everyone. I wanted to state that "it's not quite a Trainwreck" because it doesn't sound like the other schematics."

I appreciate your "Herculean" effort in working with the circuit. Looking at the schem Steve put up is interesting. And for the record, laughed my ass off--saw that 470K/470K before the second stage and all I could think of was, "Who's your Daddy????". But it's great, most haven't really looked outside the box, or reported thier findings. Thank you for your effort.

I've kept all my experiments mostly in the box, trying to think of how KF would do it, and seeing if I can stumble on it. so far, all I do is stumble. Found a couple that sound decent, some even great--but nothing that seems to come close to that flexible Wreck sound I keep hearing about.

best of luck
