I haven't really decided if I want to go much further to be honest. Pretty much what will happen is the more you stray and tweak you end up with a different animal all together. I have a feeling the PI design is correct as well as the feedback loop. I've included a 68K input/grid stopper on the first stage and to me this makes the amp more dymanic but when the amp is cranked it still runs away from itself. Those who love the harmonic content will have to turn the amp up louder to get the same vibe. I don't know, I'm with Peter and Bill on this one. Their findings match mine exactly. I played on a Trainwreck once (session in NYC)... when I played on it it didn't sound like this does. It was very responsive and tight in the lowend. I don't get the same vibe and I wish I did. Now if only I could get a peek inside one...(ha, ha) Trace | |
