| lion | Loadlines - don't get it! I'm still considering my next amp project, but I need some assistance. Say, I wanted to build a AC30 clone - that is, a cathode biased, ZNFB, *class A* poweramp, but with 4xEL34's instead of EL84's. (I know *class A* in this case means, biased hot in class AB1. I'm not trying to prolong the amp class debate). How would I translate the AC30 specs - plate voltage, bias point, drive voltage, OT prim Z, ect - in order to drive a quad of EL34's in a similar maner as the EL84's are driven in a AC30. Loadline talk is beyond my skills. Any assistance or advise will really be appriciated. Regards Lion |
