Trace, I don't know this from first hand experience, but I was told by a seemingly reliable source that some of the Wrecks were built out of parts from old amps, notably Fenders and some were built from new parts only. As far as what trannies he was using, supposedly at least some of them were using used Schumacher trannies salvaged from Fenders. Whether or not any of this is true is beyond me, but there is a webpage that lists many of the amps Ken built and it makes references to whether the tannies were old or new, so there may be some truth to this.
