| Graywater | Re: getting "sag" with resistors Josh, Television damper diodes were single diodes (with a few exceptions) with seperate heaters designed to pass high current/high voltage pulses to ground - they feature a really high heater to cathode voltage ratings. If you want to use one just wire the tube socket lugs(will probably be octal) for the heater, wire the output from your present rectifier directly to the damper diode's anode (plate) and wire the cathode to the first filter cap. A few of these are: 6AU4, 6AX4, 6DE4, 6DM4, , etc - these are all octals. I've got scads of these - e-mail me if you want some. GW |
