I used screws to hold it together and Liquid Nails on all the seams/joints. While MDF is heavy, it's good at preventing the cabinet from resonating/shaking. I cut the both the speaker hole and the hole for the 4" diameter port with a handheld jigsaw. I just used a compass and went slowly and carefully and the holes turned out very well. I sealed the edges of the port hole with epoxy to seal the few gaps caused by the not quite perfect cut! Dan This was my first speaker cabinet!
