Trace,

There's no real advantage or disadvantage as far as terminal strips verses eyelets goes...not that I can see anyways

I can see two advantages of eyelets over terminal strips: one, I noticed it takes me a lot longer to wire an amp using terminal strips. The first amp I built was a champ clone and it took me three days using terminal strips. The next amp I built was a champ clone using an eyelet board and it took me one day to wire it. Also, most of the terminal strip point to point wiring I've done looks like a rat's nest. The eyelet boards are a lot neater in appearence. Finally, when using eyelet boards, only one wire goes from the board to the tube socket. In point to point, I've seen as many as four wires tied to a tube socket. It makes a big difference when using 9-pin mini sockets.
