Just some info from books that don't really say anything.  
 
Pittman list the Liverpool rocket tube compliment as 3-7025, 4-el84, gz34.  
 
Funk's book(pg-100) list the preamp setup as a 1+1. First stage--tone stack--second stage out to driver. The express is a 1+2 for comparison.  
 
so the difference in information just confuses me more also.
