Sounds to me like you've got it right. It really couldn't be any other way. The slight difference between one side and the other may have to do with how the windings are wound around the bobbin - there must be a difference in signal coupling and impedance when one winding must necessarily be closer to the core and perhaps the turns on one winding are adjusted to compensate. After all, the dc resistance is less important to the circuit than the plate AC load - impedance is in thousands of ohms!  
I'd use it if I were you...
