The other end of the resistor is connected to 4.5v (v.r). according to the schematic The schematic for the dallas rangemaster has something similar but has an extra resistor to ground before the transistor, forming a voltage divider? The mxr distortion plus also appears to feed some of the dc voltage from the 9v battery into the input signal from the guitar before the op amp. I have also seen this done with diodes.(gm arts overdrive) What is the purpose or function of this? help.
