Doug's Electraburner...an idea...

peter | Doug's Electraburner...an idea... I just finished modding my electra 10 and am currently waiting on my weber speaker to arrive before I put the amp back together. If all works like it should, I'm going to start building Doug's Electraburner to drive this little amp, but I had this idea : I noticed that there is still one hole left in the chasis, to the right of the bass knob...so there's actually room to fit one more knob on the front panel. Wouldn't it be nice to kind of integrate the electraburner into the amp as a pre-pre-amp, that can be switched out of the circuit anytime with a push-pull pot or something. Anyway, I'm planning on doing this, but the thing I'm a little afraid of is how to hook a 9V circuit like this to this higher voltage amp circuit ? Should I use resistors to lower the voltage to 9V or is this simply impossible ? Peter. |
