volume effect

| gef | volume effect i want a effect which simulates changing the volume output of my guitar as if i was turning the volume up and down rapidly but i dont want this in a rocker pedal but in a single switch box. what type of effects already do this? ive been thinking that to make one of these i could use a 555ic oscillating operating a relay or some kind of transistor switching but this would mean a very harsh on/off switch so could capacitors be used to smooth the attack and decay of the volume or would these change the sound? Ive probably over simplified this and would be better off buying a volume pedal and doing it like that, its just i got this idea in my head |
