questions about my fulltone '70 pedal

Nick	questions about my fulltone '70 pedal hi I ordered a fulltone 70 a couple weeks ago, and it finally came in today. I noticed a couple problems right away. The pedal has no output on the first 25% of the "fuzz" knob (no matter where the volume of the pedal or guitar is set). When set a short ways past the 25% mark, the pedal comes in, but has low output, and frequently cuts out. The pedal sounds really "flabby" too. Also, the pedal doesn't have the sustain and harmonics promised by fulltone. I've tried messing with my guitars volume, the "mid" control, and my amps settings, but nothing really seemed to help. Is this how its supposed to sound? thanks for any help, nick
