| chuck | TB MKII, works now, here's my gains i finally got it working, i did the stock TB but used arons mods of 2 100K trimmers and an added 100K trim b/w the 470, 8.2K, and 0.1uf. also, Input changed to .1uf. I found out that the way the trims were set would short out my board and make the center trans. get hot. anyways i adjusted them and it works fine now. heres my gains, maybe someone can compare these to the TB they made Q1, (input side) E=-1.3mv B=55.3mv C=7.64 v Q2 E=-1.2mv, B=72.9mv C=203.5mv Q3 (output side) E=+135mv B= 203mv C=2.14v does this sound right? the pedal sounds pretty cool. it gives tons of boost (8:00 up = volume boost). the attack pot doesn't do that much as far as changing gains, even all the way off the gain is high. adjusting the added 100K trim at .1uf can get some interesting sizzleing sounds at some points. kind of reminds me of my tycho-octave but w/o the octave. does all this sound right to you guys? just wondering if this is supposed to be this high of a gain pedal. its much higher gain then my KS69 w/ alot more output. BTW, thanks alot for your help, i really appreciate it! best, chuck |
