Big Muff!!

scott	Big Muff!! I've just prototyped a big muff and I love the sound. But it sustains for about 4 secounds then just cuts out, poo for solos. Because I haven't got many parts I used odds and sods, like 2 1n caps in series for the coupling caps. The transistors were 2n2222a's which have a gain of about 200. I can't find the 2n5088, so I was wondering if BC549's would work. Also any hints/mods/tricks like the sustainpunch mod would be useful. Cheers.
