Just a couple of thoughts re the Green Ringer.  
 
Frank Zappa had one wired directly inside some of his guitars.He is said to have loved the sweet and nasty dissonance he got when playing two notes at the same time.  
I tried a WDE reissue of the GR a few years ago and it was quite the piece of crap. Avoid the reissue!
