Good so I know when I have fixed the problem (in case I'm not able to hear it.......I've bought some new parts caps etc. I changed all the caps, a resistor and redid some solder points, scraped some flux and widened teh separation between some tracks. I've still got a "broken face" Now I'll give the wiring a thorough going through. BTW, the pinout of the AC128 IS C, B, E when looking at the bottom and the base being at the bottom, correct? (thats what I got from www.nteinc.com) Jens
