| Stuart | Re: 69'pedal - crackly sounds Since none of the experts have responded, I'll have a go... Q2 is horribly misbiased. Somehow you have the collector lower than the base. Maybe you have a cold solder joint on Q2's collector resistor? For reference, the voltages in my PNP Fuzz Face are: Q1: C -0.65V B -0.10V E 0V Q2: C -4.43V B -0.65V E -0.52V Battery voltage 8.99V in circuit, 9.15V out of circuit. This Fuzz Face cleans up perfectly from the guitar's volume control. Hope that's some help - maybe R.G., GFR, Gus et al can sort it. Stuart |
