I've posted a few queries on here about a late 80s Fuzzface pedal wot I bought that seems to have a very weak sound. The pedal sounds very fucked up, which I like, but tends to sound like the battery is flat - it Buzzes but does not scream. Changing the caps does not seem to have cured this. I managed to get great results out of this pedal by adding a Boss DS1 between Guitar and Fuzzface. This pedal seems to introduce the screamy quality I want whilst still keeping the buzziness from the Fuzzface. I am very happy with the sound these 2 pedals make together (though I dont like either of them individually!). I just noticed some1 else on this forum who made similar complaints about a new Fuzzface they bought. I also recall reading lots of articles where people said they have to combine their Fuzzfaces with amp distortion or other effects to get good results. So what I am wondering is: maybe there is nothing wrong with my Fuzzface at all. Maybe they all sound like this? Possibly they are intended for people with subtler tastes in Distortion than me? Any Fuzzface users care to comment? -- See! Cute Fluffy Bunny Rabbits! http://www.mp3.com/timstoner Tim |
