Stuart | Re: Swapping c & e on a transistor Thanks for the explanation, I knew there are reasons not to do it, but my text books don't go into much detail on transistors. The pinout is CBE (l-r in the photo below) so it would simply be a matter of turning the transistor around to correct it. Your guess is as good as mine as to whether it's deliberate. This is what it looks like:
