| previous: Joe Preliminary DualMOS PCB -- 6/7/2000 4:39 PM |
| Joe | PCB works I built the DualMOS PCB tonight and so far it works good. Some parts were a tight squeeze but not too bad. I'll eventually redraw the PCB to fix the few slight annoyances but it should work okay anyhow. Sounds exactly the same as the breadboarded one, so I'm pretty sure it is accurate. Be careful when using toner transfer, the traces are thick and may bleed together. Here's how I did mine: 1. I photocopy onto cheap transparency, "Apollo Plain Paper Copier Transparency Film" to be exact. 2. Then I tape it to the copper board, and put one piece of xerox paper over it. 3. I turn the iron up all the way, and set it on top. 4. I play video games for 5 minutes or so. 5. I take the iron and paper off. 6. I play video games for 5 minutes or so. 7. Now the board is cool, and when you remove the film the artwork has transferred. Then you have to touch it up with a Sharpie extra fine point marker. This is the cheapest and most fun way to do toner transfer. -Joe |
