| Larry | New (?) pedal idea I just thrashed around and tried something I haven't seen done-I built an op-amp based circuit with a 741 (similar to the DOD 250) but replaced the diode section with an array of six diode combinations, selectable by six-way switch. I have: 1-no diodes, just the op-amp 2-2 4001s, 3-21N34s and then different combinations for 4, 5 and 6. How's it work? Pretty well. Some of the combinations aren't sufficently dissimilar, but that's my fault for not combining them right. You DO get a great variety of sounds, although it's not like several totally different pedals. I'm guessing someone has already tried this. Any pointers to schematics that would help me pursue it would be much appreciated. Thanks, Larry |
