R.G. | Re: CD4049 Hex Inverter -- Unbuffered!! The CD4049A is unbuffered, the CD4049UB is unbuffered, the CD4049B is buffered. There may be other letters tagged on after the A or B as well. You want the unbuffered one. The buffered one has extra gain stages tagged on after the first inverter stage. This excess gain makes it work more like a logic gate than a MOSFET amplifier, which is what we want. |
