It's great to see so much input lately on the Sola ToneBender MkII. Glad I waited now. Just started mine last night.
  • Using John Catto's excellent schematic.
  • Incorporating Gus's Si front end (2N3904, hFE 200).
  • Including Aron's Q3 trimmer mod.
 
How necessary is that 50uF electro vcc to ground? It's not on any Supa Fuzz schematix. Hope this turns out well. It should with all the top information found here. Will post results soon.  
 
BTW - Just built a Rangemaster and frankly wasn't all that impressed. So I unbuilt it and made the Vox Treble Booster instead (2N5088). It's far more potent IMHO. Less distortion but far more powerful output - really bright and crisp. My amp (the '72 Bassman 100 / Marshall 1922) wants to feedback at even modest levels. Nice! My SB3 feeding it screams.
