They aren't expensive, it is still easy to change your pedals around, and your pedals will NOT fall off the pedalboard during transit. I hold a Cry Baby wah down like this: build a replacement bottom plate from sheet metal, and add a small handle to the new bottom plate spaced 18" from the surface. You can then pass a cable tie around this handle and hold the wah down. Looks cool; no visible means of support.
