| jacques | fender deluxe model 5C3 you can find this shematic in the TUBE AMP BOOK. The tone pot is connected to a .0005 cap. In an attempt to some repair, I tried to change this cap. The entire sound of the amp changed. I had to solder it back as quickly as I could, really afraid to loose forever the lush sound of this marvelous '52 amp. Anyway, if you admit these two points (thermic ohm law and parasitic capacitance) have a very very small effect, we can say that the 2 circuits are different, even in a very slight way. Isn't it the point I try to prove? The only remaining problem would be: are these small difference audible? If I say yes and you say no, maybe we can just call it a biologic matter. |
