You can remove it and make the circuit like an old TS808, but the TS10 will then make a chirping noise when the gain and vol is up full. If I had to do it all over again, with the info available on the net, I would build one from scratch or buy a reissue TS to mod. My $0.02 American. Is there any way you can try it before you buy, to see if you like it?
