| Adrian | The dumbest jackass on this blue planet Yes I am The Dumbest Jackass on this Blue Planet. After shotgunning sections of two circuits, measuring things till blue inna face - cussing, being bad company to guests, burning self and pthers with the soldering iron et. al. ad nauseum..... Yesterday - Try my rangem*ster with the same setup amp & guitar (already swapped all cords) - Ugly Distortion! Hmmmm - Maybe this guitar is too high output (even tho- my bass doesn't freeq out the rangem*ster!) and is driving the transistor into saturation. Try other guitar.......... AAAAGGGGGGGGG! it works..... uuhhhh I mean good BUT.. The act of lowering the PUs caused a slightly intermittant SOMETHING in the guitar to fail - causing the front Humbucker to go silent. This problem always sounded like an intermittant before the effect..... Funny the guitar always sounded just fine for testing DISTORTIONS and FUZZES! :>0 Thanks again for the help - this one is a major operator glitch. - DJOTBP |
