Doc	Re: expansion with tubes Back in the early '70s, I bought my first piece of new stereo gear, a Pioneer receiver. A few years later (maybe '75-76), I picked up one of their "Dynamic Expansion" units. This unit is connected in the tape monitor loop, and expands the compressed/limited FM radio signal, for a more realistic sound. I don't remember the model number right now, but it's a solid state consumer electronics unit that should have an available service schematic. It's a long shot, but there may be some usable circuitry in there for your application. Doc
