I built mine using a Mullard OC44, and had to change the input coupling cap to .01 to avoid a trebly, harsh response. I had put this down to lower than expected input impedence, shifting the frequency response of the resulting RC filter upwards. Ian, That 'ramping up' effect you noted happens on mine too (but faster). Steve
